    A thing called "Tron"
"Garrett Hedlund was only starting his career when he decided to do the audition for Dean. As he had no money at the time, he had to spend three days traveling by bus to get where we were evaluating the actors. He was the last one to be tested, but we, the production, felt at the time, he was our Dean. Garrett was so involved with the project that he was not satisfied while the movie didn't come out. And it took five years ! Every time a job came up, he called me, just to make sure that it wouldn't coincide with the filming of 'On the road'. One day he called me and said: 'Walter, I was called to make a film, a thing called 'Tron ', but if you're shooting now, I'll drop it'. Thank god the guy didn't have to do anything that crazy, right? I didn't have the money needed to run the film at that time.
    The Hardest scene
"The scene in which Sal (Sam Riley) and Dean parted ways was filmed in Montreal, in a cold 14 degrees Celsius, and Garrett was wearing only a shirt and a worn jacket. But he refused to enter an enclosed environment in the intervals of "takes", he wanted to feel the cold because he wanted to understand the moment. We shot all night and he stood his ground. "
    Cooler Moment.
"The scene where Marylou (Kristen) and Dean (Garrett) dancing wildly at a party New Year's Eve, was a delight to run. The actors spent three weeks rehearsing the dance with a choreographer, but at the time of filming, everything flowed very well. The extras and the team entered both the mood of the scene which turned into a real party. The difficult thing was to stop running. "
