1. Right click on the Windows start button and click on Apps and Features. Uninstall Intel Rapid Storage Technology application/driver if it is listed.
Note: Safe mode will not give an option of using PIN to login. Kindly ensure you have the Windows/Microsoft account password before proceeding to the next step.
2. Right click on the Windows start button and click on RUN. Please type MSCONFIG and click ok. From MS Config window, click on the BOOT Tab on the menu– Put a check mark on "Safe Boot" and choose reboot.
3. During reboot, keep tapping F2 to enter BIOS. Navigate to System Configuration->SATA operation and change SATA mode to AHCI and click apply and then exit after saving changes.
4. System will boot to safe mode. (It may take multiple restarts to get the system to boot again. Ignore any bluescreens and just keep rebooting. Two or three times should be enough)
5. Once it has loaded safe mode -> Right click on the Windows start button and click on RUN. Please type MSCONFIG and click ok. From MS Config window, click on the BOOT Tab on the menu–uncheck "Safe Boot" and choose reboot.
