Today we are holding a discussion on second rich generation.
Before the plot, I want to give you some examples. We are known that Bill Gates showed his interest in computer at 8, but we seldom have heard his mother was IBM’s vice executive. We all know Warren Buffet payed a visit to New York Stock Exchange with the company of the head of Goldman Sachs, but the truth of this opportunity is that his father worked as a state govenor.
Those two richest men are what called second rich generation. Their successful careers are depended by part of their family background, but still they are eager to win their life competition.
And let us think for a moment, how are they winning their competition? Are they winning only by their family?
Back to our main topic, I want to mention China’s background. We are now in competition with countries worldwide under the economic globalization, we are thirst for talented people. And I want to add that we are not as civilized as people in developed countries. So frequently rich people always help their children to gain high post diploma without letting them to be educated. But still, we can not deny, some of the second rich generations master in their fields. But in all, many positon are lacked of competitive people by the interruption of this unfair competing method.. We always say that we want to regain our glory we had in history, and we are willing to dominant the world. So how dare we put those people with ability under the feet of those playboys?
For society, it will lose criteria of equality and fairness. It is too easy for some of them to get advantages. This makes poor people even poorer. And their are many examples for those uncompetitive second rich generations lose all their family possession. For instance, Sui dynasty in China is considered the richest dynasty in Chinese history. With the diligent emperor Suiwendi, the whole country had become more and more flourish and prosperous. He gained success by hard work, he understand people who were controlled by him, his experiences were so rich. But when his son Suiyangdi came into stage, Sui totally collapsed. Suiyangdi never took serious in dealing countries affairs and making decisions. He was drunk all day, depriving his people, and playing with beauties all day. Finally, putting an unexperienced boy on a high position without practice caused the end of a country. Without hard work, experience, determined to achieve their goal and being decisive, second rich generation might be gradually eliminated.
Compared to Warren Buffet, he used all his leisure time in high school to run a sport shop. Sure he was exhausted under both pressure of working and making money, but he never quit doing either of them. Bill gates was so decisive and determined to achieve his goal that he quit Harvard University to build and mange his Microsoft Company. You can not imagine how hard he made a struggle to quit the best university and begin his adventure and quest in the territory of software. Suiyangdi should feel ashamed of his ruining a country compare to those two second rich generations.
No pain, no gain. So what I think is that only by doing hard work, gaining lots of experience, having a clear goal with determination to achieve it, and being wise and decisive is good enough to get help in winning competition. Otherwise, just give the opportunity to those people who are competent on the positon.
