but do you not think that maybe they’re going to alternate? like next week’s shows will have a shakira/usher duet and then a blake/adam? that’s all they would need to do. they set it up kind of nicely for that to happen I HOPE IT DOES
They will shuffle the teams and we’ll get a Team Adam vs. Team Blake in the next few weeks butthe judges performing together is not an ‘every week’ event.
Maroon 5 is performing Love Somebody on May 20 and hopefully Blake will release a new single soon so he can perform it on the show but ‘together’ doesn’t happen unless it’s the first few live shows or the finale..
So I hate being the downer here but seriously don’t get your hopes up!! Unless the voice wants to prove me wrong then please be my guest and give me a Blake/Adam performance next week!

To be fair, I don't think Usher/Adam and Blake/Shakira pairings were in fact because of Shevine/Shadam or something. I think it is because of the performers. Adam's very powerful team vs. Usher's diverse but less potent. Blake's country vs. Sasha Allen.
Bear in mind that Mark is the executive producer, which means the first episode of the live shows could’ve easily been Team Usher vs. Team Shakira and the second episode Team Blake vs. Team Adam, but it wasn’t.
He’s avoiding it, he’s doing the mix on purpose for reasons that I mention and not because of pairings/ships/whatever.. He doesn’t want Blake/Adam singing a duet just yet, it’s as simple as that.

I still didn’t watch the episode and I don’t have my laptop with me so no download links for now..
But I did watch the Blake/Shakira duet.. and I watched the Adam/Usher duet yesterday„ and it just didn’t click for me!!
Usher & Adam: I’m not saying the tabloids rumors are true, but I’m pretty sure that Adam & Usher don’t actually get along as well as Blake with Usher or Blake and Shakira..
Adam looked ‘stiff’ during the whole thing! Look at his performances from the previous seasons. Even in Dude Looks Like a Lady when he didn’t sing, he was enjoying himself more but not in his performance with Usher..
Shakira & Blake: Those 2 were good but not that good.. They’re voices together didn’t fit with the song a lot but it was better than I expected.
I truly believe that Burnett is avoiding the Blake/Adam duet on purpose..
He knows everyone wants it
He KNOWS we’ve been asking for it
He KNOWS the industry is waiting for it
HE KNOWS it’s going to be amazing
But he’s holding out on us!! I don’t think we’ll get a shevine duet unless Blake & Adam are both leaving the show because he wants them to go out with a BANG! He knows Blake & Adam are the main reasons people tune in to watch the show whether they were shippers like us or just regular people who enjoys the chemistry and bickering.
The 35 seconds they spent on the platform shows more chemistry between those two then the whole 2 performances combined between Blake/Shakira and Adam/Usher..
And I wrote this post as someone who genuinely enjoy the shows but is getting sick of waiting for something as simple as a fucking duet!!

EVEN MORE BEHIND THE SCENES FOR THE VOICE
Behind The Scenes
Once the coaches sat on their chairs for the start of the taping, Adam kept saying “Battle Rounds. Bat-tle Roundsss. Battle Fucking Rounds.”
On one of the very first takes, there was a technical issue and Blake laughed, like a big man-child. Seriously, what a dork ♥
On two separate occasions, while Adam and Blake were talking, Adam kept touching Blake’s shoulder. (I’d say maybe 5 times total.)
During a break, Adam once again went to Blake and while they were talking, they were getting touchups on hair/makeup. i’m sure that’s not uncommon but i just found it fascinating. There was also a time when Adam was in his chair and Blake was talking to him and played with the tips of Adam’s hair.
Shakira’s baby was brought out and she was taking pictures of him pressing the chair button. Blake waved to the baby. Once Shakira finished with the pictures, Blake, Carson & Adam all paid attention to him (Carson more). Afterwards Adam stood behind his chair, leaning on it as he talked with Blake.
The crowd kept yelling for Usher to dance and he did, Blake was watching on and then of course people told him to join (I yelled ‘dance off’ repeatedly) The two did this cute little dance. (i’m sorry but Blake can’t dance LOL)
When they finished a certain take, Adam stood quickly and waited patiently, as soon as he got the clear, he marched towards Blake and they both walked backstage and came back like 5 minutes later (alright fucking sue me, this was the only time that i let myself be ridiculously stupid, all i thought was “quickie”. what?! not even sorry. don’t hate me)
Adam was eating something, I read someone saying popcorn, someone else said peanuts, I really don’t know but he did share with Blake and Shakira. Some guy on my side yelled out “Adam, give Blake your nuts!”
Before the last battle (this taping ran considerably long and a lot of people left) Carson said that we were like the drunk (fucks? fuck was said at some point) at last call and Blake started laughing then “drunkenly” started yelling, “Shakira”
Actual Show
While talking to the contestants, Adam mentioned “dripping sex” and of course that was the one thing Blake took from that. And dripping sex was later referenced again at a different time.
Adam broke out his Spanish, told Shakira “Ayúdame, por favor” (help me please)
I can’t really remember why Blake said it, but he called Adam “Jackass”
There was a lot more Adam/Blake moments behind the scenes vs. what will actually make air. It does feel like i’m missing things, if anything else comes to mind, i’ll post it. It was seriously a loooong day.
