To thefans of my precious son, Atticus. It has been rare for me to write, but I amasking a request to all of you, at this time, as I have been witness toAtticus' unceasing care, love and prayers to many, many of your names. I amasking for your prayers right now, or good thoughts, for my precious boy. Twodays ago, he had an in home accident and sustained two fractures to his legs.He is having surgery right now, on one leg. Living with OI is a lifelongchallenge, but Atticus always lives with an unbreakable spirit. He lifts the hearts of all who he meets, and even now, as he is wheeled intosurgery, he brings love, laughter and a sense of optimism with the doctors andnurses. I still want to grow up to be like him. So, please....may I ask...tojoin me now with prayer, with kind hearts, and with good thoughts that hissurgeon, and those who surround him, are successful with helping Atticus, andfor him to recover to full capacity again. Minutes ago, Atticus kissed me andtold me "It only makes me stronger and more understanding." May weall hold onto those words in times of our own challenges and in our worldtoday. God bless you all, and thank you....for him. Debbie Shaffer
We areabsolutely overwhelmed by everyone's incredible, loving support, powerfulscriptures, and prayer filled responses! Those prayers, along with yourdemonstration of care and love, have all lifted Atticus through his longprocedure in guiding his surgeon to repair his leg! It was successful, andtoday Atticus has no more leg spasm pain, and spent all morning reading eachand every comment from all of you. He, too, was completely overwhelmed and youfilled his heart to over flowing. We also spent the morninglooking up and reading all of the scriptures sent by many of you. It has been abeautiful morning. How incredibly blessed are we? What an amazing example ofthe unity we all can truly share with each other through our prayers, love andspirit. May we all pray for our world in this same way, and make miracleshappen...just as we have in this way. Thank you for loving my son. Thank youfor your prayers. I will pray for all of you, forever in gratitude, forunceasing blessings on your lives and with those you love. God bless you all,Debbie and family. PS I know Atticus will respond here when he recovers alittle further.
